Blueprint for Success

Intake Session: Student Needs Assessment

The process of getting to know each student begins with an intake session. This initial session acts as a blueprint, helping us understand each student's current situation, strengths, challenges, and areas for growth. From there, we establish a baseline and develop a clear plan for moving forward.

How Does the Intake Session Work?

Before the session, we will send you a registration package by email to complete, where ask for background information about the student, including parent/student feedback, along with documentation such as previous assessments, report cards, and IEPs. This information is then carefully reviewed to help us develop a comprehensive understanding of the student's educational and executive function-related background.

The intake meeting's duration is 50 minutes and takes place with the student and at least one parent (if under 18 years old). Parent involvement for college and university students may vary based on the student's individual situation. Together, we explore the student's strengths, current challenges, executive function and learning needs, areas for development, and goals for moving forward.

A Personalized Plan of Action

Following the intake, families receive a written report outlining the student's personalized plan of action, including areas of focus, recommended strategies for implementation, and next steps. This provides a clear direction for moving forward and helps determine which Brightside services and supports will best meet the student's individual needs.

Cost: $165.00 - Sessions take place either in-person at our office in DDO or virtually via Zoom.
