Robin holds a B.A. from Concordia University, a B.Ed. from the University of Ottawa and is also a Certified ADHD Coach for teens and college students. She has over 10 years of experience teaching and coaching students with ADHD, learning disabilities and Aspergers, as well as working with at-risk youth and students who have difficulty with motivation and self-esteem. After working in the education sector for several years, Robin identified two extremely worrisome trends that she felt would be very important to address: (1) students were becoming lost in the crowd as a result of large class sizes, overworked teachers, and procedural and policy limitations, and (2) youth were increasingly experiencing social issues, had negative self-images, and felt helplessness and hopelessness. She understood that youth were in great need of guidance and support, and as a result, founded Brightside Learning, its main goal to ensure that students have access to an all-encompassing support service that they help design and are accountable to, thus being able to achieve their greatest potential.
